Conduct of the extermination process

Will you need to leave the house?
On the day of the fumigation, you must leave the house for a period determined by the exterminator. Depending on the scale of the problem, you will need to stay away from home for a few hours to a few days. Your pets will need to go with you as well.

How does the process work?
The area to be treated will be isolated using suitable equipment, much like a tent, to ensure that it is watertight to prevent the gas from spreading to the rest of the space. The temperature will be adjusted to optimize the treatment because the gases used diffuse more quickly in the hot air than in the cold air. In addition, since these gases can be heavier than air, powerful fans connected to pipes will sometimes be used to promote the dispersion of molecules in the air and their penetration into the smallest corner of the space to be treated.

Returning to your home
Once the gas has completely dissipated into the air, there will be no residue left on the surface and no damage to the structure or contents of your home. After the treatment, the house is usually ventilated for a few hours before you can return to your home.
